Seaford
Gymnastics Academy was formed in January 2008 by Lorraine McKenzie to provide
a friendly club of recreational and squad gymnastics, for girls and boys
across junior age groups. The club is fully equipped with Gymnova Apparatus
and currently has approximately 130 members which are all registered with
British Gymnastics. The Academy is also registered with British Gymnastics,
Sussex Gymnasticsand the South East Region so the main squad gymnasts compete
in and outside their Region. We follow the British GymnasticsProficiency
Award Programme please see the British Gymnasticswebsite for more details
of these awards. We also offer progression testing at the bars, beam
and trampette - gymnasts can gain bronze, silver and gold medals.
Should you wish to join in or help out please contact Lorraine McKenzie. The club is always in need of parent helpers.
Thank you for your support.

We're currently raising money for an inflatable tumble track for all our gymnasts to enjoy. Every gymnast is participating in a cartwheel/or bunny hop a thon to help raise the amount we need. We have been very fortunate to have been given half the anticipated amount towards it!!!! So please make every effort in this fund raiser thanks!!
We are very close to gaining our Gym Mark status, thank you so much to Zoe Godfrey for all her help with this task and to Stephanie our BG rep. This half term all gymnasts will be receiving their latest BG Proficiency award which they passed before half term. Please be sure to tell your Parents to hand back the certificate notification slip and the fee for your certificate.
I have had some enquiries from Parent's about their child participating in more sessions than just the one they currently attend. We have started to look at the possibility of either extending some of the existing classes, so there could be an offer of a block 2 hour session, or opening up extra sessions on other evenings or extending Saturdays. We let you know as soon as possible.
Congratulations to Adele Cooper who passed her level 2 exam last Sunday. I was very pleased to hear her actual exam results were extremely high and the feed back she received from her examer was exceptional!!
